Professional Mechanics I have a Query!!!

Turbo IIIs and Turbo IVs are a nightmare. For the gain in power, repair parts are wildly expensive and they're much less reliable. That being said, I'd take a Turbo IV over a III. $225 for a set of plug wires? No thanks!

The trigger has been pulled...

'08 SXT, power everything, rear A/C, entertainment system, and a 3.8 :)

At least its not white or silver...

I did spend a little time in the driver's seat in a '12 Charger R/T and in a '12 Challenger SRT w/ a 6spd... unfortunately both were in the showroom at the time. :doubt:

As I was looking over the hood of the Challenger I thought about my kids... and wondered if they would take them as a down payment :D

Congrats! You will NOT regret buying that!

The only think I've seen is Caravans seem to like eating sway bar bushings and end links. But that's no biggie. I think they changed up the new ones though.

I pushed for the redesigned body! I looked under it and because of the StowNGo the spare is under the front seats!

Moog sway bar end links, Moog sway bar mounts lubed with dielectric grease! Problem solved!

Your gona like that van. with the exception of the STUPID shifter location!:shifty:

you serious about the spare unde r the front seats?!?!?!?..thats almost as weird as the old soobys with it on top of the engine

ok..mopar in general when it came to the vans wasnt thinking...groundclearance........my cat hangs down neerly as far on my van in the same damned spot

You might want to try dropping it, just to make sure the mechanism hasn't corroded. I realize you're in Texas, but it's still worth checking out and shooting some chain lube or WD40 in there. You don't want to find out at 10PM on a lonely road that you can't get your spare.

Also, any time you order parts for it, make sure you specify that it's Stow 'n' Go. It affects a lot of things on that vehicle, particularly undercar stuff.

Which rarely, if ever, actually get stowed.

However, it helps resale value to the next person that will never stow them either.

You bet! Easy to replace too! :)

The shifter is just like an old A-100 van! It's retro!

The shifter also acts like a slap stick. You tap it right or left to upshift or down shift as there is no position for low, second or third.

It said its a 6spd, not sure if its a splitter or how it does it. I saw the way the shifter is, when I was in the Charger R/T I noticed paddle style shifters on the steering wheel :)

It's sort of like a Slap-Stik, excepting of course it won't allow you to hold a gear if the electronic brain says "This may cause a warranty issue." An ex-girlfriend famously shifted my 340 Charger over 8 grand. Yes, the motor went bang.
