I've owned quite a few sleds over the years, and my preference has always leaned towards Polaris. The 1st was a '69 Polaris Colt that I bought for $500 in "71. It had a JLO 372cc one-lunger. If you didn't get it started on 3 pulls you had to rest. Looked like this;
Next was a new '73 colt, chrome skis & shocks....I was trippin' :dance:
Next new one was an '80 340 TXL, 340cc, liquid cooled putting out 56 hp. And I've still got it.

2 years later I bought an '80 polaris Centurian, 500cc, liquid cooled triple, rated at 84 hp. First production sled garranteed to hit 100 mph. Acceleration was pure "white knuckle". Best known as the "Widow-maker"
These were just my main sleds, I also did a lot of "flipping" of others to make a few $$$$, Rupp, Moto-ski, Bolens, Chapperel. Engines ranging from a 295cc up to a 634cc.
