Paydirt!

Trying to find my weed and
Hey guys (and gals). So today I go for a drive in the countryside and what do I find? Would you believe a 67 Barracuda, two mid 70's Scamps, a 74 Dart Sport and a couple of mid 60's Belvedere/Coronet cars along with a half dozen Omnis. ALL for sale. One of the Belvedere's has 47k miles and is strait but needs complete resto. The one I looked at most closely was the Barracuda. Lots of good parts including grill, glass, hood with inserts, trunk lid, tail panel, dash, seats, trim, steering wheel and emblems. Has a 273 2brl complete too. My jaw hit the dirt when he said take the whole Cuda for $300 CANADIAN! Don't know what he wants for the other cars but cheap is the operative word here I think. He needs them gone but soon. Took a little talking to get the guy to show me around his yard. Thought I would give the 'Nuthouse first crack at these so if anybody is interested in these let me know and I'll hook you up with the guy. I'm going back soon to take another look at this stuff before it's gone.

get a loan and buy them all . :bravo:

I was going to suggest the same. Sounds like a good find. I would take them all and turn them for a bit of profit (but not enough to be greedy) and fund another project.

If I had the space and the money that Barracuda would be good as MINE!!![smilie=i: :giggedy:

Can you get pics of the Barracuda? :xl: Is it saveable or better off as parts? :hmmm:

Oh yea, and how much to tow it to Puerto Rico? :D

LOL GO you would be closer to mine AHHAHAH...300 can for a fish...hell if the grill is in even decent shape it alone is worth that

Grill IS in good shape. With a LOT of work it could be saved I'm thinkin'. Floor and frame are pretty shot up from living in the weeds too long but tons of reuseable stuff :2thumbs:

If he is really serious about cleaning house he wont mind some pics taken of his stuff. So get back over there NOW.:helpme:

I forgot to ask if it's a fastback or notchback?

Belive me 69.5, if I could have come up with enough money I would have gotten that green 69 fastback from you in a heartbeat.

Unfortunately money's been getting tighter for me lately and I still have to finish the R/T/A yet. $300 Is feasable depending on the condition and how much it would cost to get it shipped down to somewhere I could work on it (PA?). With it costing anywhere from $200-400 in airline tickets each time I want to come over to work on my car, I really have to pinch my pennies if I want to be able to finish or at least get the R/T/A running sometime this year. I'd REALLY like to drive the Chally to wherever I get stationed at next (sorry Mark :p ).

lol go im just giveing ya a hard time...iv a cheeper coupe ..shush fishy

id stab at the rails with a screwdriver and see....most of the undercoated ones ive seen rot away fast...the non coated ones seem to last under abuse

Got some pics today. Frame and floors are totally gone so sadly it's toast. Lot's of goody parts though. Good deal ya think? :hmmm:

Forgot to mention, doors are solid and it's got one of those cool flip open gas caps with the lock tab. Thought I'd include a pic of one you don't see every day, a '66 Plymouth VIP. That's what the guy said it was anyway. Floors and frame are gone on that one too but everything not on the ground is rock solid. All three of the Scamps are cooked /6 cars. Seeing this stuff is so cool yet so sad.

The fact that it's a notchback takes it off the list for me.

I'm with XL though, get it just for the parts. you could sell it for way more that $300 and still have a bunch of parts left over if you wanted to get a solid cuda put together later.

Your a bastard you know that? :doubt: :D

On the good side it looks like I will be gettin '66-'67ish Newport for cheap! Complete 383 and all! :giggedy:

Theres 300 clams worth of stuff there for sure. Is there a title? Thats worth 3 easy just by itself.
