parts and value/saving?

since i know the previous owner PRIOR to this guy..it was tha daughter or wife of wildcat autowrecking...so...im sure the loads were STOUT i know they had a MONSTER of a travel trailer this things even wires for trailer brakes..the BIG plug

as for exhaust up this way there are a few shops that will do a a ton of bends on a single pipe but those shops are far and few..honestly tho unless a car has spent alot of time at the coast or outside of teh state most cars here still have factory exhaust under them.....lets put it this way..the inline 6 exhaust for my 58 ford is still the original

Most of the factory systems were a combination of clamps and welds. Usually, the over-axle pipe was part of the muffler, being the actual outlet pipe of the muffler rather than a welded-on piece. Obviously, the Y-pipe was welded, but it most-often clamped to either the extension pipe or the muffler itself (H-pipes were one piece, manifolds to mufflers and clamped at those joints). Also, clamps were used solely for retaining hangers in many applications; they did not clamp pipes together but just grabbed the body hangers.

Fully welded or all-clamp system, either way is aftermarket.

Wow that thing is sure a lot nice then I thought it would be. Looks like the back glass is down and out? Looked like a power window mechanism in one of the pics. Couple days of cleaningadn that thing would look like a totally different car! You did say the motor turned over?

So how do titles and such work down in Oregon? You getting them for these cars so you can sell them?

Hey I called the dibses there big fella :D

Muhahahaha...who can get there first.....[smilie=i: I could be there in about 6 hours.....;)

Just kidding...I would love to get it...but just don't have the time, or room.....:(

:D
I have to thin the herd myself, unfortunately. And move a pair of chevies that are squatting on my property. :D

6 hours, man that's an easy ride, I'm looking at about 5 times that, each way...

the back window "was" in it but down..it was held in with a couple bits of garden hose...it survived the ride home.....but sometime today in the sunlight the back window popped..i expect the sun warmed the hoses and let it go or something....finding anothers not really an issue..fact we probably have one..for this im quite puzzled and pissed

as for titles we will have them soon for everything but my ramp truck but here...in oregon getting a tittle is EASY hey tell you "it could take 3 months" ive never waited more than the normal month

Well if I ever have a title issue I will leave the car with you for a few months so you can get a new title. Then you can "sell" it back to me with said paperwork!

I once had the rear quarter glass in my 70 Sport fury shatter while sitting in the driveway one day. Turned out it was the plasticy strip that holds the glass in the metal channel had deteriorated, and eventually wore into the tempered glass....Boom it went all by itself!! Maybe a similar issue with the back glass?

totaly possible..its only the second window ive ever had this happen with ..the otehr was much like you described

thats kinda what i figured since the afb kits which are still made run what 100$ each...i can imagine these are crazy rare...but i know rare doesnt always mean desireable

Nice...get those up on E-bay and start recouping some of your money. I have one of those kits as well...for the TQ carbs.
