Oh God and baby Jesus...

... so much want wrapped up into one car. This is my #2 dream car, right after the Challenger. I doubt they built one any closer to my ultimate Charger. It needs only the Rallye wheels and the canopy vinyl top (which it is supposed to have but it was removed), and lacks only AC and manual disc brakes, both of which were excluded with the much-more awesome Super Track Pack. Dazright.

Even if the car's a screaming pile, if it is what the data tag says it is and not a rebody, it's worth every penny to me. They only built 29 Charger SEs with the 440/4-speed combination, and I'm sure not all of them were A4 paint or A34 Super Track Pack cars. The hood pins where it supposedly couldn't have 'em is just a neat order-sheet screw-up (I've not only seen it previously, I had one) but there's really nothing I'd change about this car from the data tag. Hate vinyl though I do, I'd put the canopy roof back on it because it looks so good, and the rolling stock would be replaced with 15x7 Rallye wheels in a heartbeat.

To be honest, saying "I would buy it in a heartbeat" is a lie, because I'm having a very hard time stopping myself from buying this car. I'm pretty sure I could get the financing against it outright, but if not I could just refinance my house (which is paid off). It's really that tempting.

I agree Doc that is a beauty and a wonder! I have a very soft spot for a few 71 cars...Demon, Challenger and Charger (especially the Superbee) and Roadrunner.

I feel your pain Doc...I purposely stay away from the above cars. If I was to find my dream car in any one of those I would be like yourself....sleepless nights trying to talk myself out of why I should not be making the purchase. ;)

Well, it's possibly much harder for me because I have so few responsibilities. No wife, no kids--just the dog any myself to feed--no mortgage, and no current vehicle payments. I pretty much have utilities, which are inexpensive since I live alone. Yes, the power bill skyrockets when I'm in the garage but I don't even have any kind of TV service. I don't go out, I don't go on vacations often, etc. I learned to live on the cheap when I was unemployed, so I just kept doing it unless cars are involved.

Sonofabitch, I'm talking myself into it rather than out. I can't keep track of the cars I have now, much less store 'em!

put this lil food for thought..youd need a NICE CLEAN garage to keep it in or it would rott away...so..add the garage expense to the price tag

the gun metal is by far my fav color..and the lack of vynle..while nice..needs to be there on that body to break up the pain and break the body line

Holy PHOCK! I wouldn't change 1 thing? I love it right down to the wheels. But then you know how much I love body color wheels!

U code 440, 4 speed, Super Track Pack... that alone would be enough.
Wrapped in the sexiest B body Dodge ever built... it's Valhalla.

I share your angst, Doc. :)
