Not what it looks like

68R/T

I got drunk and swallowed my teeth, now
This is NOT a picture of my car. It is a picture of a model of my car that my son, daughter and my sons girlfriend had built by someone on Facebook known as Cashmere Scale Customs. You have to go to his page to see the unbelievable work that this guy does. His attention to detail is beyond description. This project has been in the works for about a year without me having a clue. The number of people that were in on it blows my mind. It's hard to believe that that many people could keep a secret that long, especially you, Doc & Stretch. :naughty:

To anyone here involved, thanks for making an old man happy. :giggedy:

I love the "mid way restoration" shots with it sitting in what looks like a restoration shop.

Oh, and Happy Birthday.

We really wanted to be there, 68, but circumstances simply prevented it. The only way I was going to get there without Stretch involved a woman and probably would not have been conducive to my long-term sanity. I got to see the videos, though, and they definitely got you with the surprise party... and I can't wait to see that thing in person! Seriously... even the keychain is right!

But yeah, we knew about the model when it was still just an idea... :D

Jr. told me that you & Stretch had originally intended to, (that almost blew my mind), and the reason that you couldn't make it. There must be some evil spirits hanging over your heads this spring. Hopefully these spirits are gone by the fall. :helpme:

If you had made it you could have rubbed elbows with John Grinwald. :D He really is one hell of a nice guy. That's him in the Motocraft jacket below;

That's a beautiful model of a beautiful car.

I build scale models but that guy makes me look like a low-paid hack with 8 thumbs an hair down to my ankles... His detail is incredible!

Oh, Happy Birthday 68! :)

I'm glad you like it. I also wish we could have been there. If I could have put off this surgery I would have but time and circumstance wouldn't allow it. I can not wait to see it! The guys progress pictures that Jim posted on the FB page were amazing! He is one talented artist! Judging by the videos of the party, it looks as though everyone who was able to attend enjoyed the event. Happy belated Birthday Sr!
