The Jeep Wrangler passed European safety tests—but just barely, earning a single star.
Euro NCAP does safety testing for vehicles sold in Europe, using different methods and criteria than the US-based NHTSA and IIHS. These include running into a front offset deformable barrier at 40 mph, crashing into a rigid barrier head-on at 31 mph (50 km/h), and a side-impact mobile barrier that hits at 31 mph.
