New Rules Seek to Eliminate Phantom Vehicles at Night in Canada

New vehicle lighting standards come into effect this month in Canada. Specifically, all new vehicles will be required to have an automatic function for lights, or have their dashboard turned off if the lights are not on. The goal is to get rid of phantom vehicles on nighttime roads once and for all.

while i love my wifes imported early 5dr yaris in the same way i loved my 78 rolla, the fact that the dash lights are ALWAYS ON along with the headlights...but no tail lights easily lets you forget to turn anything on
