Never got why mopar did not drill them straight across. I had a bunch of metal colllars made up you would not believe the amount of cores I get in with them missing. I just cant trust 50 YO nylon in my rebuilds, do not need one cracking and faling off in a engine. You guys have any questions on distributors I have all the specifications if needed. One quick note about the plastic shaft retainer and roll pin. When you "punch" it out make damn sure you put it back on the way it came off. If you turn (as in spin. not flip) it 180 deg. on the shaft the holes won't line up perfictly and it WILL break. It may look like its lined up but it won't be. Also be very gentle when driving the roll pin back in. If it does break, the retainer kit is still avalible through MOPAR. I have a new kit and I can get you the part# if needed. It might not be a bad Idea to get a new kit anyway. The retainer won't be brittle. You have to drill the roll pin hole in the new retainer. Slide it on the shaft and drill it while its on the shaft to be sure the holes are perfictly lined up.
