the one in my 74 is bad. didnt realize it until it wont start. looked through my service manual, and it shows this interlock start switch. it looks like a horn relay with a red button on the top of it, and mounts on the firewall next to the voltage regulator. anybody know where i can find another one of these? if not I guess i'll try to find a way to bypass it.

thanks for the help

interlock

I know I have seen a few on O-Bey, but beleive it or not they go for pretty good money for originality's sake; One-year-only item that was usually thrown away. If the car's a survivor I'd want to keep it original, but if it's a driver just bypass it. Pain in the a$$. You do know you can bypass it temporarily by pushing the lil' red button right? (which, of course, involves going under the hood everytime you go to start it.) [smilie=e:

charger.

its not the seatbelt interlock though, the seatbelt interlock is a different circuit, according to my service manual. the seatbelt interlock is getting bypassed. the end. i dont like buzzing noises when i dont put my seatbelt on.

ah to hell with it. I'm bypassing the bastard. i dont want to screw with it and i doubt i'll find another.

thanks guys
