Lookin to replace the 99 PU , going to see an 05 with the 4.7 V8 engine (111K on it) a new animal to me, so mopar gurus, any problems with this run of motors, are they as dependable as to 318 or 360's were? thanks, Rich.
Need feedback on the 4.7....................

I have heard some reports of sludging, similar to the old 2.7 V6. But this is still mostly hearsay. :huh:
Otherwise, they have been known to easily approach 300,000 miles trouble free. I suppose it's like any other engine, if you take care of it, it will take care of you.

OK, got lucky with the charger, I had the other 6, at the time I didn't even know there were 2, might have my clunky front end figured out after almost 10 years, having the struts pulled tues, they may have been bad from day one, hoping that's it, would be nice to run over a bump(got plenty of em round here) without my teeth chattering.
mileage hasn't been a problem, don't put a lot on, bought the 99 with around 90 & it has 117 after 10 years, it's just falling apart around me , needs a lot of work that I don't think is worth it at this point, the rust is starting & I"M NOT GOING THERE!
