My wife did what?

Stretch

Hey! There’s no easy button for a body like this!
So my wife hooked me up. Guess what I will be bringing home soon.

:D

She sent me a text yesterday. "Do you want a '73 dart? 225 slant six. Boss wants it out of his garage".

I went and looked at it last night. $2000.00 later and I have a new summer daily driver.

It's safe in his heated garage until the snow is gone.

Man is it clean. 80,000 miles.

Here are the pictures he had on his phone.

looks like a pretty clean survivior..aside from that rear door dent?
im actualy diggin on the hubcaps..which is weird i hate hubcaps

Ok. How do you know about that? I never mentioned it and you can't see the right rear door.
well i ment the weirdness im seeing in the LEFT rear door sooooo whats up with the right?

if the body is any sign combined with the milage id say the gut is neer cherry probably some minor blow out on the drivers butt area and driver floor foot wear but otherwise a gem..and maybe a couple minor cracks in the dash pad

80k on the clock i bet the engine bay is "smoke stained" but otherwise pretty clean too

pretty much everything ive ever bought has been 40-70k on the clock and useualy a lil ole lady or grandfather passing attached to them kinda thing, so im really curious as to how a NE car of similar milage compares to a NW.....as it looks like that one probably never saw winter by the fact the paint survived and i dont see holes...hell the ole turbo caravan was the HIGHEST milage car ive ever "paid" for at a whopping 89k on the clock

The right rear door took a hell of a hit. Pretty much dead center. I need a door. The window rollls down but the door doesn't open. I'll deal with that once its home.

certainly finding a 4dr rear door in that color should be EASY...if not i could check 2 places out here...wildcat and allamericanclassics would be the best chances

I'm pretty sure I know where a few are. Thank you for the offer to look though. If I don't find one here I let you know.

That is pretty sweet....and those raised white letter tires really work for the car too!

I think those are the tires I'llbe going with if I end up with my old Coronet, since its still wearing the old Goodyear Eagle ST's I put o n it 25 years ago, and I don't really like the look of the BFG raised white letter tires.

does cooper even make that tire still?...while i LOVE my bfg's i know your complaint on the letters, its the "scale" of them being off...even more so on tall tires

I checked one of my local stores and they indeed carry those Cooper tires. ;)

I believe Cooper does still make the cobras.

Body color wheels with dog dish caps are on the agenda.
are those hubcaps a 1 pice deal or are the a standard dog with an odd trimmring to fill the void...i honestly dig the look its unusual..HUGE bonus if its as ordered, i dont blame you one bit for going paint matched and dogs tho, even if its done to death

I think there were a lot of different trim level type wheel covers avaialble back in the day, maybe one of the "extra cost" wheel covers that most people weren't willing to spring for when the price of going with a factory mag wheel might have been the same, or cheaper alternative?🤷‍♂️
