anyone want to find an impossible part..or atleast something that will work the same?

i need a piston and rings
1983 honda xl600r
.5mm over(aka .020 i think)

what i CAN find is crazy 10.5+ comp slugs which i really dont want to do..im not looking for more power...close to 50hp on a 600cc dirt bike is PLENTY..and hard enuf to kick over that big single

i was going to get one direct from honda..but..it no longer exists..and the bore had to be taken beyond the .25 thats availible still

Bike parts aren't my strong area, 69.5. But believe me, if you think nearly 50HP is plenty on a 600, try it on a poked-and-stroked '87 XR200R with drum brakes at both ends. 247cc and about 40HP. I think it was around the same compression, but with the cam and the aluminum head it ran fine on 93. Thumper Racing did the engine.

doc my 6 has drums on both ends..someone put xr350 parts on the bike..enuf grunt to pul the front thru the first 3 gears off road and if you poke it hard enuf pull it in 4th on road..yeah i dont NEED more power

yay ill give em both a call and see if they ACTUALY have em..cause if they are like my local shop they get direct from honda and just didnt know it wasnt availible from honda
