IT IS HOT!

It's the kind of hot that makes you not want to dwell much and look at cars.

To be honest though, there are so many cars it's kind of overload to the point where you can walk by everything.

Cars become interesting for other reasons than the cars.

For example, I saw this and thought of Jason.

and here's the NewPorker. Lots of interest in it this year. Two guys were drooling all over it so I let them open the doors and they were snapping pics of everything. Apparently, they are working on one just like it.

just 2 pic's....
SHAME ON YOU
We'll be back there today.

It's supposed to be hotter though. So, we'll see how much we get around to the cars.

But seriously, there are so many, I just don't know what to snap pictures of.

There's the guy with 16 (I think) GTXs. That's the same picture every year since he gets the same spots. He is one of the organisers and volunteers. So, he gets his stuff in there on Friday night. He has to or he wouldn't be able to do any volunteer work on Saturday morning.

There's the one other 71 New Yorker that is damned near perfect.

There's all the modern MOPAR. Cool stuff, but anything that is no longer stock is all painted up fancy and that just doesn't interest me.

Then there is everything in between. Superbirds, Cudas, Challengers, Chargers. Etc., etc., etc.

The Rampage 2.2 was interesting. I didn't have a chance to snap a picture. Just stock but in really great shape from what I could tell walking by.

Maybe I'm jaded. Maybe there's just too many.

I also walked around saturday
Lots of cars but so freaking hot you were basically looking for the next shade tree.

seen a few hellcat challengers
I was mainly looking for 67-69 darts and stopped at a few of those.
i did not snap any pictures. Girlfriend took a picture of a green 4x4 80's style diesel ram with a big 4 inch exhaust stack in the bed. (her cousin has one, but not green)

I poked around in the swap meet looking for bargains but i did not really need anything, so it was more of a wander to see anything different.

There was a jeep fc150 which is rare to spot.

Charger owner: "I wanted a Rallye, but all I could find was an SE... so I improvised." One or the other, but it can't be both. Rallyes couldn't have the slotted quarter glass; SEs couldn't have the stripe or bulge hood.

I've got to say, though, that's probably the best-looking slot-window Charger I've ever seen. Even black ones with black vinyl don't look that good.

Still at the show and have used the camera today, but here are a couple of phone pics

The MOPAR tent.

The sign says MOPAR. Must be a MOPAR.

That Challenger is as gay as semen on a moustache. Seriously? Using repop Rambler fender emblems?!

That's a new fucking low, pardon my Indonesian.

while its FAR too "nice" to call it a "rat" i do quite like it

as for the alfa..hey it could be worse..it could be a benz....atleast alfa has alot of sport and fun behind it..those who havnt owned dont understand

It's Italian. That's all I need to know. Doesn't belong at a Mopar show any more than a stinkin' Benz...

But I guess with Chrysler being long dead, it's a moot point.

I completely agree. And I love that it's not a tetanus festival... the whole "rat rod" thing was worn thin after a year and I really wish it would just go away. If I want to see rusty junk, I'll go to a junkyard. Or, you know, look at my own projects. :D
