Hey all, know I haven't been here in a while, but I have news! For all you S/W Ontarians (and anyone else who's interested), St. Thomas Dragway is now open, and is being run once again by John and Sharon Fletcher (HURRAY!!!!). Mopar Day 2010 is next Saturday, June 12, featuring show classes and a full series of drag racing. I have nothing to do with it, except that I love this event, and I love John and Sharon, and are glad they're back running it (and THANK GOD we are rid of Dave Mathers!!).

Anyway, I have the flyer on my computer if anyone wants it.......I tried uploading it here, but it exceeds the limit. E-mail me at michaelmarshall_43@sympatico.ca if you're interested. We will be there with the Duster "Emery Express", racing, and I THINK I'm going to drive the Valiant down and put 'er in the show. BTW, Mike got it all done, 8 3/4 with 3.23 gears is in, and it works perfectly. HOPE TO SEE A BUNCH O' 'NUTS THERE!

It's good to see you back. It's also nice that you now have a friendly track close to home to hang your hat.

Actually, J.C., there is a track much closer to us, only a 25 min. drive (Toronto Motorsports Park.........which is actually in Cayuga, which is nowhere even remotely close to Toronto, how stupid is that!!), but, they have had questionable ownership/management for the past several years, were an IHRA sanctioned track and have now gone to AHRA (??) this year, with no points and no bracket finals (which would lead one to believe that IHRA was fed up with them). It's an OK place to go to test 'n' tune anyway, and I'm not saying we wouldn't run there just due to the sheer convenience of it. But, we have always loved the St. Thomas track.........it has lots of trees and is a true parklike setting. Cayuga is pretty barren. And besides, it was St. Thomas that we were running for (then know as London Motorsports Park, under John and Sharon Fletcher) when Mike won the NHRA Div. 3 Bracket Finals in 1992, so it holds a soft spot in our hearts.

Rats! We had a yard sale today, and I kept hearing ads on the radio about some big drag event this weekend so I thought it must be next weekend. but the ad was for Gand Bend Motorplex. oh well, I did get some stuff cleared out of the basement and did some straightening in the Garage.

I've been really busy at work and any spare time, when I'm not working on the car, is spent recouperating.
Sorry we couldn't make it. I like London.
Hope everthing turned out!
