MOD TOP DART?

About 10 minutes ago I was going into a little town called Corunna Ontario(outside of Sarnia) to pick up some dinner as I'm on afternoons at work. As I'm waiting to turn out on to the main road I spot this lil old lady driving a 69 -70 Dart?? with dual exhaust ,light cream color? & it had a mod top! The only reason I knew this is the latest copy of MOPAR ACTION has the Cuda in it with this rare option. I was going to chase her down but I am not really suppossed to leave work but didn't like what I packed for lunch. I think I saw a piece of paper in the back drivers side window..maybe forsale & options? It was a quick glance but I'm kinda kickin myself for not following her to see what it was & how much she wanted . If it was original I'm sure someone on one of these forums would drive across the country to get it if it was a rare car. It looked pretty straight & had hucaps on it. Pretty wierd as I've never seen this car before:hmmm:

i have heard rumors of some guy from wallaceburg that owns a mod top dart and his mom drove it. I think it was in a mopar magazine awhile back as well.

Supposedly this same guy from wallaceburg has a hemi cuda .. and some other odds and ends from mopar. Just heard this from a friend a few montsh back.

Might be the connection.

I've seen that car a couple times over the last 15 years or so. 1970.
The story goes she is the original owner, but I never did get (or remember) the name.

She's my friend's 70 year old Great Aunt Clarabelle. The story goes like this: Every second new moon, she dusts off the Dart and takes it for a lengthy drive around town. Clarabelle enjoys having men follow her home and ask about the car, and says she'll sell it cheap in exchange for a nice romp in the sack. After the inevitable cuddle & tickle, she says the Dart is her dead husband's old car and won't sell it, but thanks for the memories!
