FCA is recalling around 8,300 2017 Dodge Challengers with 5.7 liter V8 engines coupled to automatic transmissions (not the full run). The reason is because, for less than a second after shifting into Park, the panel will show “P,” but the car won’t actually be in Park. It’s possible for a person to open their door before the car is actually in Park, if they’re fast enough.
