On looking at warranty claims, someone at FCA noticed that a supplier had beenproviding windshield washer pumps with electrical connections that could short circuit and stop the wipers from working.
This prompted a recall of around 54,000 Dodge Darts, all from the 2016 model year. Nearly all were sold in the US,with around a thousand in Canada and just 43 in Mexico.The company is not aware ofany related injuries or accidents.
