With either the worn out street tires or the BFG Drag radials on the car nailing it in first gear resulted in mucho tire spin and little forward progress.

With these babys the car hooks and pins ya back in the seat!!! [smilie=e: [smilie=b:

It is so much more fun to drive now and I am really looking forward to see the results at the track. [smilie=c:

hey beep.. a couple of track buds racing pro with me drive their cars to the track with MT ET streets & hook real hard. i was concidering them but went with the ET drags cause you know, CUDA only sees track at this time.

Anybody using BFG DR`s or ET`s should`nt....or more to the point...WON`T drive on gravel more than once....it has a very detrimental affect to the paint on the quarters, especially after some tire spinning [smilie=e:

Thats great to hear. Cant wait to see how they work at the track for you. My son bought these "American Racer" tires. They are the same company that used to be McCreary's and the old worn out McCreary's we had on his Dart hooked prety good the last time out. So he went with these since they were only $115. each and they feel great on the street. We hope to try them out in a few weeks. Ron

Just a FWIW
All i can say about the ET radials is F&^%*# AWSUME !!!

Just a quickie rundown of the weekends adventures at
Mopars At Indy
DA for most of the day saturday was horrid..4000 feet and freeking hot..mid to upper 80`s....Sunday was worse.

Made 8 passes between the 2 days and 7 of em were amazing 60`s (for me) considering what it has done in the past....my best ever with the BFG`s was a 1.73 and that was pure luck.
Was down a bit on power because of conditions BUT..here we go

Time trials Saturday
1st pass I`ll leave that one out...there was a bit of driver error (Dumbass attack)
2nd pass 11.13 at 123.53 1.64 60'
3rd pass 11.11 at 123.97 1.63 60'
4th pass 11.06 at 124.22 1.62 60'

These were all personal bests for my tank, was tuning a tad for the air and it shows....10`s..i`m knocking on your door [smilie=e:

Sunday Time trial
1st pass 11.09 at 123.88 1.65 60'

First round
Dialed 11.10 .013 light dumped at the stripe and got the win 11.15 at 114.83 [smilie=e: 1.65 60'

2nd round got a bye, did a short burn so as not to waste it..dialed 11.15...set on the light so as not to go red .203 [smilie=e: 11.164 at 123.78 1.68 60'

Semi final
Dialed 11.16 Had to sit there for 3.19 seconds and it BIT me...i thought i had layed off enough as the opponant had been terrible on the tree all weekend...HA....055 RED...DAMMIT....and ran dead on with a 2 on the brakes at the stripe..someone shoot me now...11.162 at 114.73 1.64 60'

Since i`ve had the blower on this car i`ve never been able to full throttle launch it....8 passes this weekend and WTFO on everyone and other than a slight chatter on the 2nd round bye..it never spun a lick...I`m impressed...the 60`s are pretty consistant considering the package..I`m happy !

Boy thats no schit....I`ve been a mopar person for too long..i`m not used to being able to just "bolt" something on with modifying it..LOL
