The U.S. state of Nevada granted its first off-highway driving permit for a commercial-production car to Mercedes-Benz this week. Three specially modified E-Class cars will be allowed to drive on off-highway roads and city streets. Self-driving cars are already allowed on interstate and state highways in Nevada.
