May be going in the Army soon

Hi all,

I can't remember if I posted about it here or not, but I've been selected for Army OCS. They gave me a shipping date of May 19th, 2011. I'm trying to speed that process up, so I've requested an earlier date. It looks like I may get my wish, possibly as early as January. Accordingly, I've started trying to get rid of my extra stuff. I have a few for sale ads in the classifieds here. At this point, I have to assume that I'm going to get shipped out in January, at least until I'm told differently. You guys might want to peruse the stuff for sale. I'll update you guys as the scene unfolds. I can tell you this-I may well end up being the oldest person in OCS whenever I finally go. If I'm not the oldest I'll probably be close to it.

I have a nephew heading to Aphganashit next month with a special op team for the Air Force. He'll be a forward spotter for an attack helicopter unit within an Army squad.
He just got back from a driving class in Wisconsin learning to drive those big V hulled shaped trucks the military is switching to. Can't think of what they are called.
He's trained in just about everything you can train for. Survival, imprisonment, special weapons, rapelling from copters, knife fighting and the electronics required to call in air strikes.

You know how they really screwed him up in the inprisonment / captured training?, They had already copied all his friends and links from his Facebook pages and just barraged him with all the info from there. They asked him about relatives, friends and videos he had posted and how easy it would be for his captors to get info out of him.

The training instructors reminded him that if they could get everything aboot him in a few seconds so could Ricky Rag Head!.
