2014 Maserati Quattroporte GTS V8s are being recalled to due to a bad battery cable. The recall covers984 cars made from October 1 to December 31, 2013, and was based on an internal company investigation of a singleproblem report. There have been no fires, accidents, or injuries.
At issue is an incorrectly made positive battery cable, whichmay have an incorrectly placed sealing cap and too few clamps or straps. The one-piece cable goes both to the alternator and to the starter motor.
