[smilie=e: I picked up an engine for my Dart along with a 727 tranny, driveshaft and radiator. The engine has an illustrious history. This engine was built by a Mopar legend for his own personal use and now I've been lucky enough to acquire it.....guess it pays to be Irish after all. As a christmas gift to the board, I'll mail a 1970 Challenger R/T Vanishing Point Metal body Revell kit to you if you guess the original owner of my new engine. [smilie=b:

Thanks Vike, I bought through a friend from the owner. I got the 727,driveshaft, radiator, new chrome headers & hp exhaust manifolds at a reasonable price. He kept the 69 six pack air cleaner. Engine ran 12.20's in a 3100 lb car and has about 2400 miles on it. Used primarily for shows and Tom's Drag Racing seminars. It seems that some guys at another Mopar site were enraged that the guy I'm buying this from seperated the engine from the car, however Tom's car was a Sox & Martin prepped "M" code car, so he's putting a Hemi in it's place. The original HP 440 is long ago detonated. The owner of the engine is a well known Hemi builder and a heck of a nice guy [smilie=e: . He told me Tom will be excited that it's being used for what was intended and not stored in a musuem. Tom basically built the engine with goodies from Chrysler's part shelves [smilie=b:
