Magnet shielding??

Fishy

Omnipotent Seaweasel
Due to the limited space of our apt and the fact we have a small stereo, I had to put the speakers behind the tv. Lately the magnets have been messing with the picture, turning it green-ish. I know there is a way to shield the magnets so this won't happen anymore but I don't know what to use. Any ideas? Thanks.:)

most shielding has to take place within the speaker itself. affraid the only real "fix" is to move the speakers at leat 6" away from tv it may take more than that but there's the start

bro ive worked with this time and time again...prolonged exposure of a tv to a magnet WILL FRY IT...you can do alot of temperary fixes but nothing lasts more than a day at a time..by the looks of the speakers your going to need a minimum of 1 foot from the tv to be at minimum safe distance ..as the everage 6 inch speaker needs about 18 inches of space from a tube type device to be safe(monitor/television)

Boy you are lucky, since i'm in construction i have the solution for you. :)

Good read beep. Some of that stuff I already knew but its good to hear more. Get over it and move the speakers man.

I am telling yah man, pull the drivers and hot glue a similar sized magnet onto the rear of the motor structure, thereby cancelling the ambient magnetic waves. Luckily I know far more about this than cars. :D

similar to my monsoon woofers:

Kryptonite. If I have said it once, I have said it a million times. Kryptonite.

LMAO @ Viks drawing. Good one dude:D Speakers will have to be moved then. I might do the shelf thing as soon as I get the wood to do it.....which is gonna take a while since we are pretty much living paycheck to paycheck. Thanks for the help though guys.
