Looking around for an old crew...

its a lil high...but...its hard to lay hands on a cummins for under 3-4k..pretty well double that if its 4x..and pretty well double again for a 4dr unless full on TRASHED

your basicly looking for the GRAIL of cummins trucks..4dr 4x cummins 1stgen......just find a low mile one and dont even look at the price
 
That Chevy seems a little high on the price list for me. And a Dana 44 in the front...really! That will start to bend and break in about a year or two, there was a reason they put D60's under a cummins motor.

The 1st Gen cummins crew seems a tad high for my liking as well....especially the condition is seems to be in. But I paid $6K for my 84 D350 cummins/5spd crewcab 5 years ago, and I spent another $2-3K to get it road worthy...so I guess $10K is not too far off really. I have people asking to buy my truck almost weekly....not for sale for any price, at least I can't think of a number that would make me want to sell it...I love it too much!
 
I just realized that the dodge crew was a 4wd...thought it was a 2wd. Unless it's a total butcher job, then it's worth $10K all day long!
 
See, then I am being cheap!

I want to get something older, 4 wheel drive and a true crew cab. I want something with minimal electronics, my '03 is all electronics, and that is all of my problems with it. I can dump the money to get mine where I'd like it, but it's still 2wd. I'm going to get mine looking good, replace the broken dash, fix the driver's seat replace the console lid and round up a nice bed, mine is beat to death under the drop in liner and sell it.

I'm actually kicking around the idea of a mid 90's Ford with a gas motor to start, and round up the pieces for a 12valve Cummins conversion. That is unless a Dodge crew happens to show up when I'm ready to buy.

dippy..thats a CLUB cab no matter how you slice it..not a 4dr CREW cab....sorry..just cause it has a second set of suicide doors it dont count....actualy the fact you cant open them without opening the fronts proves it

Club Cabs did not have rear doors whatsoever.
 
I have a 4 door Cummins truck, complete with handshaker. It'll probably end up for sale after I fix up a few cosmetics.

What I'm missing is an attractive truck that will spin 4 tires at one time, I'll add an oil burner at a later date.

Found this by accident. It's a little over 5 hours from me, in the same state, without a Great Lake impeding my progress.

saw one of these the other day localy for sale..instantly i was thinking..that would be badass to put a PU bed on it and turn into a 4dr long box...BEASTLY looking thing

the cabs are about 80% the same..the floor hump is ALOT lowwer as it just doesnt need to be there..and i think some of the firewall stuff is minorly different...ive only ever laid eyes on one in person

axe the 3rd axle and the bed behind the RC tail and i dig it.....but i still think a 4dr dully would look more wicked
