Local cruise scene...

Which ruin it for people like me who'd like to get on a bike one day :( Those morons make people in cars hate anything on 2 wheels. Not only am I scared about that but just the general bad driving of 99% of people on the road makes me not want to drive anything but something with 4 wheels.

Yup - that makes them stupid.

I doesn't make them mean.

The wastes of skin I am talking about are just plain-old mean spirited. The folks at A&W and Burger Baron are gonna have to do something about it, 'cuz I'm sure they are scaring away a lot of day to day customers.

I don't believe I've seen them at A&W but I haven't been out and about a whole lot. Just isn't the same cruising in a Neon :doubt: Just seems that when I am out for a drive, there isn't much to look at. I HAVE noticed the bikes at Burger Baron and the lack of cool cars there though.

Went to Canadian Tire today - about 3 in the afternoon. Both parking lots were full of bikes. Particularily the Burger Baron - I think it's because of the picnic tables outside.

No Barracuda this year?

Gas prices what they are, I expect a lot of other classic-car owners are doing the same thing you are--cruising the sh!tbox whilst looking for others to be out running their hot rods. You're probably seeing all the same guys, but they're in their Contours, Foci, and Strati.

No money to fix it, no money it to insure it (also requires an appraisal).

You're probably right :( Just checked out the local gas price website and gas was actually more last year at this time. Perhaps Bruce's reasoning is more on the mark.

I think gas is about 25-30 cents more a gallon if not more here right now, hence my thinking...

If I was blocked in by a bike, I'd just hit it. I mean, after my experience laying waste to that Explorer in Atlanta, I know that if they're illegally parked in a non-marked spot, well, sucks to be them. *crunch*

Besides, after I run it over, it's not like he could chase me. :D

What still needs to be fixed?

As far as the appraisal/insurance thing is concerned, I hear you. It occured to us the other night as we were going through the car budget that we hadn't accounted for that...duh.... It would suck to go through all this only to be out of money before we could insure it...

I thought you already had yours appraised?

I personally hope not. It's just an observation I've made based on what I've seen and heard from a few others. Can't be doing the businesses much good tho - you would have to walk through the thugs to take your family into Burger Baron for a meal...

From what I saw the time I was sitting there, I would think they are just waiting for someone to try something like that...it would give them an excuse...

It's not just blocking the cars in that's an issue, it was parking the bike ever so close to the car's paint, bumping into it while getting off, and doing whatever else they could to demonstrate that they felt those spaces were theirs and no-one else had a right to them.

In one case, a car owner opened his hood to check his oil or something, went around to his trunk to get a rag. While he was back there, one of the thugs pushed his bike in front of the car, blocking access. Y'know...intimidation like that...

He would find my foot in his ass and the bike taking a dirt nap..takes a bit to get me mad enough to resort to violence but that would be sufficiant.

We have a monthly cruise at the local A&W drive in, everyone knows one another and it's a pretty laid back affair.
