...I got the New Yorker fired up today.
71 Dusterman was here, so I took advantage of an extra hand on a fire extinguisher and poured some raw fuel down a temporarily mounted carb I dug up. Damn thing ran. Who woulda known?
After 71 had left, I rigged up a fuel line, put some fuel into the old pigs tank and primed it long enough for it to burn off the varnish in the fuel lines.....and lo and behold, it even idles! And to make things even better, there is no valveline noise, just a happy purr. Well, I guess not really a purr, as I barfed the muffler.
Next, I will try and rig up some linkages and go terrorize my neighbours in their Bimmers.
