Well I figured it's about time to get started workin' on my Charger. I started pulling the front end parts off to get the motor and trans out, and start cleaning up the engine bay. Here's where I'm at so far, yup I have the car on the back porch behind the garage :D Trish is cool with it so I figured what the hell! I love my wife, she's the best!

Cool!

I wish I old get a car around to the back of the house.
My covered patio is just big enough.

Yeah me too. I've thought about removable fence panels so I could get one of the cars back there under the porch for winter storage.

I need one of these! It would make life so much easier. Then I need this and of course I'll need a bigger compressor...

Guess I need to start busting my ass to get stuff going! :D

I don't think I could make one for a lot less, not sure in your area, but down here steel is pretty fricken expensive right now. I could probably save some money, but not enough to offset the labor and aggravation. Sometimes it's just better to buy...

As far as the blaster, that was just for a pic and your right, I have a HF 3 minutes from me.

Got the motor out, tomorrow I'll get everything cleaned up and situated and start pulling the front suspension, this is a K frame off restification :D

Pics...

:D

I'm torn, I'm not going to use the 318 from the Charger and I really don't want it sitting in my way. I'm never going back to stock (seems like a waste to go back after all this) and all I'm going to do is strip it down to a long block, I need the accessories and tin for my 340. Scrap comes to mind, any others?

Yup!

Gonna pick up a mild cam, throw on a factory smallblock 4 barrel intake, TQ, timing chain and gears, oil pump, etc., before we toss it in there. I'm going to give trans rebuilding a shot too, and we're going to rebuild the original 727 to put behind the 318.

That 727 will be almost as underworked as the one that came in my old '78 d100 with a /6.
