The Kokomo Casting Plant in Indiana is the first casting plant to get a bronze status inWorld Class Manufacturing, according to FCA US. Kokomo Casting,which is now 50 years old, claims to be the world’s largest die-cast facility. It has 1,300 employees and casts nearly a million pounds of metal per day.
The eleventh FCA North American facility toachievebronze status, Kokomo Casting earnedat least50 points in ten technical and ten managerial pillars.Indiana Transmission II and Kokomo Transmission each received the bronze designation last year.
