Just sayin hi. New to forum.

schreddr

I'm the (Why) guy... :)
Ok. Got a 1964 Newport 3 on the floor recently. Good runner says 80,xxx on odo... But it's not my first. When I was 16 I had a 66 Charger. 383 three on the tree car.. It had a 318 Truck motor in it. And at 18 I had a really nice clean 68 coronet wagon. 273 ran very well. I bought it for $75 cause it needed a trans. Bought a trans for $75. Presto. Nice car. Oh ya and a project with my brother. 66 Charger 318 broken crank. Turned it into a 440 (P) with challenger trans and exhaust. Fast car. Lotsa smoke. (Tires)...

Well that'll get us goin.. :bravo:

Well, if you're talking about the transmission itself, it's under the floor like it is on most every car. :D

Glad to have you here, schreddr!

I don't have to try. I just sit around and wait for you to type something silly, like you did above.

Schreddr, have you got any pics? We like pics. Especially pics with (shifter) sticks.

Welcome Mr. Schreddr.

Pay no attention to those two... contrary so-and-so's - both of them. Stick with me for polite conversation. :toot:

:D

Well, he had a running 273 when he was 18. I'm betting the Newport's either a 361 or a 383; I don't think the 273 was available in anything but the A-bodies until '66 or '67.
