Chrysler has just trademarked the term “Car. Life. Balance.” according to Jim Choate and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
The term covers vehicle-based telematics/navigation/phone/audio systems. It was filed for trademark on October 8, and could signify a new ad campaign or, possibly, the launch of a new iteration of UConnect.
The critically acclaimed system stumbled somewhat in its last iteration, but those looking for signs of change need look no further than Alfa Romeo, which will use a Linux-based setup with slightly larger screens. The larger screens are likely to stick with the more expensive brand, but the change ofoperating systems from QNX (a form of BSD UNIX)to Linux will likely run across the parts of Fiat Chrysler that are not sticking with Microsoft.
