I sold my Cummins

That happened about a month and a half ago. So, that's the end of the Cummins era, for now. I'll get another eventually, when the need arises. Anyhow, I sold it to my son for basically the cost of the maintenance I performed last year, injectors, fuel pump, clutch, etc.

Fast forward to 2 weeks ago, someone braked checked the truck in front of him, who in turn smashed the brakes causing Will to slid Big Ugly into the back of newish Chevy truck (17/18) and did a good bit of damage to both. Both were able to drive away from the crash after exchanging info. He planned on updating to the newer front end, '06-09, since it was now necessary, but something let go inside the motor causing a pretty substantial engine knock. I believe he's going to part it out to recoup what he paid, then get his '98 1500 back on the road. I'll post up some pics later.

Damn, about a month after this he blew the turbo up, sending debris into the the motor doing more damage than he could afford, then selling it for parts.

I seem to remember someone suggesting you change out that turbo not long after you bought that truck. Pretty sure it started with why K&N filters are garbage and why they are junk.

Did the sandblasted turbo veins come apart and go through the engine?

Too bad no one saw that coming.
