I need help finding a truck-an '09

Hi all,

I'm trying to find an '09 standard cab shortbed 2wd hemi truck, and they're proving to be hard to find. The trim level can be an r/t or an slt, I don't care. Hell, if someone happened to know where an st was, I'd consider that. The new ones have 390 hp, 407 ft/lbs, and the fuel economy has improved. That's proving too much for me to resist these days.

So, if any of you guys in the US should happen to know the whereabouts of such a truck, I'd like to know so that I could try to work out a deal on it.

If there is such a thing in the world call Tom James (513) 752-1804 and ask him. If its out there, anywhere, he can and will find it.

Are you in the Pacific northwest?? If so then how about making your dollar go farther and get one up here in the mighty Canadaian white north....;):p

No, I'm in Alabama. (see location info on top right of my posts.) I called the guy at Dave Smith Motors we bought our '06 diesel from, and he doesn't have one at his location. They are the biggest dodge dealership in the world. There are 1 or 2 within 200 miles or so of where I live, but the dealers that have them don't seem to want to do a dealer trade and give them up. The salesman at Dave Smith advised me to order one exactly the way I want it and wait. I may well do that-we ordered our '06 through them and it turned out great. That way, I can get it with rubber floor mat instead of carpet, etc etc. Price-wise, he's talking starting from about $1200 below invoice and then subtracting any applicable rebates. Not too bad on a new model year.

ya gotta excuse COWS--- the north DOES at times freeze ones brain. give him the benifit of the doubt and know he froze his when his wife asked for a bucket of ice - he went to the river- ... we like him anyway:bwuhaha::bwuhaha::bwuhaha::bwuhaha::bwuhaha:

Ordering a truck is great, but remember that Chrysler is in a shut down for the next month. It might be a couple of months before you get your truck.

I'm thinking it may be as late as April. In any case, I'm about to order it, probably tomorrow. It'll be a one of very few or even one of one. SLT, short bed, regular cab, rubber floor mat (VERY VERY rarely seen in an SLT), 2wd, hemi, NON-power seat, 17" wheels. Oh, and 3.92 limited slip of course. 390 hp in that truck ought to move pretty well.
