Da-ho

not even
OK, Ive been driving past this early charger all summer with a for sale sign in the window and finally decided to stop and introduce myself and see if he wanted to do some parts swapping. Now I know theres quite a few of us here that do top notch work but this semi retired farmer puts the bar at the highest notch available. His favorite is the 69 GTX which is mine also. The back shed has quite a few that have been rotisseried and are waiting parts and or time to finish. 6 road runners, one with a modded hemi of course and 2 verts. One 70 440 six pak super bee. 3 GTXs, a couple 70s but mostly 67 through 70 model yrs. I peeked up the stairs and the attic is STUFFED with door panels and glass, you name it. He says his wife whines some when he drags in another one but is understanding. And posters and memrabiliia? Stuff Ive never seen before. The early charger has a 67 440 with 906s and Ill be damned if I forgot to ask how much he wanted for it I was drooling so bad. I didnt ask for permission to post it but I got his card so heres the whereabouts. I did have enough presence of mind to thank him for keeping the legend alive.

COOL !!!!!!!!!!!! i had the same thing happen to me about 2 months ago but on a much smaller scale .
on my way to work sat a 69 dodge R/T that had been sitting out side under a pine tree for years and needed tons of work , so i stopped one saturday morning , knocked on the door an older woman aboot 60ish answers i ask if the R/T was for sale she sad nope my husband is going to fix it up someday . i thought to myself " theres a cars in barns line " i said thank you for her time , as i was walking away she aske if i liked old cars . i said yes but i love old MOPARS .
she asked if i had a few miniutes i said yes why ,, i want to show you our pride and joy . so i followed her over to the double car garage she opens the door and there sat a 69 superbee 440+6 that hadent been out for 20 years so i look over to my right do a double take look again a 68 road runner hemi car . between them and behind the and beside them and in front of them were nothing but mopar goodies a few max wedge motors , heads , rear ends transs . turns out her husband and her a die hard moparnuts they used to do alot of drag racing in the 70 with the 2 cars . so come the spring time im going to take a ride over in the runner and do some BSn with her husband try to get him to get them out of the garage .

I will be back over there within a week or so to get more shop equipment, I lost the friggin twain drivers for my el-cheapo camera on the last reload so I better get a new one. I found some stuff he needs and hopefully he will cut loose of some air grabber goodies for my troubles. Dont want to get too pushy but MAN - I just cant stop DROOLIN.

DA-HO , sorry i didnt mean to but in on your story . but it was neat to find them 2 mopars .

I know what you mean DH.
I was in Stratford a couple of weekends ago to look at a fella's 56 Lincoln Premiere Convertible.
While I was there, I checked out his collection of a MINT 56 Premiere two door hard top, three 56 Crown Victorias, two 54 Fords, 67 Fairlane GT with a 390 and four speed, 56 Ford half ton, 5? Ford 700 COE flatbed, 51 Ford with SIX miles on it, 81 Ford half ton with TWELVE miles, and several un-restored jewels.
They were all built by Henry, but they were still gorgeous.
Its awful nice to see someone who appreciates old stuff.

Say what?

Agreed, you go back that far and all the cars are just awesome in their own right. I get to a point from about mid/late 50's and older where I just can't deny alot of cars no matter who made them;)

Me and my friend found a '72 Cuda 340 out in Parsippany behind the PAL building...

Too bad; it was too far gone to save.
No pics. It was too sad to take them.

Yea but Albert, if it was together enough to be moved without falling apart- it was worth draggin in. You could cover body panels with visquene and use them for a pattern to fab up fiberglass replicas possibly.:hmmm:
