Well, i've been thinking of my college choices after i'm done here at the local college (its a small state center, they don't have much here, just the basic cources), i'll do either one semester or one year stint here to get some basic classes out of my way, and i was thinking of transfering to one of two colleges. One being UW Madison, though they are highly selective and I have a feeling they'll over look me cause I don't think I have the required highschool classes they're looking for (small engines, auto's, advanced auto's, technoligy seminar....don't think thats Madison matterial  ), the other is a local private college, that pretty much already wants me (or my money) in their door. Thing is, they're going to be almost $20K a year [smilie=2: , but (since the Major i want to go into is Japanese language and i was sugested to go into the JET program for either teaching or translation) the local private college has a branch in Tokyo, which is the same price as here and credits will transfer and they have an even more extensive Japanese cource than they do here (they have basic elementery here). I already filled out my FAFSA form and its been filed, and finnacial aid is available from them.
So, if theres a chance, to go to Madison. I'd have to (no choice in the matter) do two years here at the center, then transfer over to Madison and do 4 more years there (providing i can do everything in that amount of years) totaling 6 years worth of college and fee's
Or (i could still even apply now.....i'm tempted to) do one semester, or one year here at the center, do two years at the private college in the local level, then finnish my last two in Japan and possibly stay there in the country for awhile (it'd piss my mom off big time cause she'd miss me, but i'd certainly visit) but go into serious finnacial debt (depending on the aid i get).
I know a good education is priceless, but, if its not going to get me anywhere......you see what I'm saying. I'll be doing a tour of the private college on the weekend v.i.a. my brothers girlfriend who goes there. And if i have any more questions or need anymore info, i work second shift, so i could stop in for a quick Q and A sesion.
We'll see how it goes, it's already april so if i want to apply to that private college, nows the time (though rumor has it that the private college accepts transfered credits and cources from the local UW that corispond with their classes). I'm still thinking of atleast one semester here at the UW cause its cheap as hell (like only $1,000 for a full-time semester)
I'll let you guys know how it goes. For now, i'm just looking at ways to get the D100 moving for cheap.
