Just accept them. The backstory goes back like five years... but centers around changing the subject.

Example:

"How'd you end up in the hopsital?"

"Well, I was bored, and all I had was a roll of electrical tape, a hamster, and a vegetarian cheeseburger... and then I got an idea. I grabbed the electrical tape and the burger, and, well, I, uh--Look! A bunny!"

normal is subjective, one persons normal could be another persons freak. Personally I would rather be abnormal then fit someones mold of what they think we should be.
 
Normal is very subjective but I think, normalization of population to some degree is inevable it will happen, we all at some level want to be accepted buy what we perceive as our peer group.
Here in Colorado the pagan ( Druid ) interest is waning ie the last few Druid meetings have very low turnout and the Focus on the Family http://www.family.org/ is more and more pervasive I have tried to be a Christian and there is no way I can truly believe in that superstition, destructive BS and I refuse to pretend to just to fit in. But I see more and more of the population moving to join the larger and larger ( normal ) groups.

So I let me freak flag fly and just except not have a peer group to fit in with, except this online vertual home.
 
Gotta agree with ya there Wild1. Like me? Cool. Hate me. bah, oh well lol. I am me and that's all I know how to be. It is better to be hated for what you are rather than to be loved for what you are not.;)
 
I kinda' feel bad. I thought I'd said hello, and just now re-read all the posts, and I forgot. Anyhow, hi and enjoy the madness. This place isn't so much about flying the freak flag, but actually wearing it like a James Brown stage cape.:bravo:
 
wild1 id have to call bullshit on your statement....i have no peer grp and never have...i have no desire for acceptance and never have even in school..id prefer to stand out and follow my own damn line..someone wants to follow along with me so be it...hell i dont even drive for an acceptance with family......tho with my wife thats another story
