HEY whats up? everyone doing well??? not been around in a while. My Coronet has been laid up sense I went to a HELLYEAH video shoot and the tranny went out on the way home...... traded my 2500 HD off on a Avalanche lately and been busy making it mine and fixing the "issues" the crap you get with a used vehicle. joined the Avalanche forum and found out they are boaring and made me miss you guys!!!

How did you end up going to a HELLYEAH video shoot?????[smilie=2: You get to meet the band??[/QUOTE]

Friend of mine (remember FEETS?) is the Pres of the Fortworth Mopar club and they had contacted him wanting some old cars for a video shoot. I guess several of them are car fans but the front man (Chad) is a Mopar fan. So me and my car in the background of the One Hell of a Time video just to the right of Vinnie Paul's drums. All the guys in the band were very approachable and very appreciative of us bringing out the cars. It was a bummer though after 8 hours and now 2AM to leave and the tranny give out 1/2 mile up the road......the video is on their front page..... if you Like Metal give it a listen.. http://www.hellyeahband.com/

Dude, that's bad ass!!! I love HELLYEAH!! I know in the vid of Cowboy's Way, Chad takes off in a pretty sweet 70's 'Cuda. Might be going to see them here in Portland on Dec. 4th. How's Feets doing by the way? I'll have to go look for your ride in that vid now! :D Welcome back too. :)

Feets is in trans transves transi transition from the hot rod to building a MONSTER CRUISER he just bought a 72 Imperial than he is going to do the FI twin turbo thing again and moving his trick Benz brakes to it and all...... he is fixing the hot rod to sell it.

the video shoot was cool lots of free beer but getting home at 5AM with the car on a roll back took the wind out of my sails......

Don't mean to keep on with the HELLYEAH theme but..... :toot: :fishy:

Feets is doing a twin turbo imperial? That's gotta be about the coolest fucking thing ever. I had a '73 imperial, and it was a helluva car. I can tell you this-one of those imperials will make very good use of the kind of torque small turbos can generate. I'd imagine that when he's done the car will be capable of acceleration that will make people familiar with those cars think they're hallucinating. That vintage of imp has a curb weight of about 5000 lbs. That's fueled up but with no driver, passengers, or luggage. They have 8 3/4 rear axles and ratios in the 2.76 to 3.23 range, with the later cars like that probably tending more toward 2.76's. Turbos LOVE to pull against heavy loads. I wonder what size his engine will end up being? I have a 400 to use for my mustang, and a couple of mid size cummins turbos. I'm doing a blow through carb though instead of injection.

Well - just to comment on one of the themes in this thread (It's moparnuts - every thread has many stories :D ) I went out and bought the HellYeah album based on what I've heard from people and a few youtube clips......

.....what a disapointment. Gotta say it's been a long time since I've regretted spending 15 bucks on a CD like I do with this one. This is just mediocre, average thud-rock with little innovation and less ability displayed. (Suprising when you consider where the band members have come from.) "Supergroup" this is not - they sure have not lived up their potential.

I've always been a fan of a lot heavy rock, but I find it unfortunate that so much of it now displays little or no vocal ability. This is no exception ....the guys in the band may be buddies, but IMO, they would have been better served choosing a vocalist who can sing, especially given the fact that they are trying to emulate the "Southern Metal" thing of years gone by....(But failing miserably.)

The other thing that really bugs me is the shitty production and lousy sound quality of this album. To be fair, this is not exclusive to just this album, but is a condition common to most newer recordings in the era of MP3's. We have taken several steps backwards sonically in favor of the convenience of an inferior format. :wtf: Add the lousy production value to the fact that most newer recordings are being mastered "hot" to make them sound louder on shitty headphones and ipod speakers and you end up with something that's nearly unlistenable...

It's really a shame...we have the technology to do a better job of capturing and recording music and instead we go backwards...
