Hey Ron, been trying to get a hold of ya.I've been seriously considering going with the Shubeks and solid blower grind vice roller due to costs involved with setting everything up. So on that note when is you're next road trip?Call me

I'll try & post some progress pics of the Coronet. It's looking good with the Hoosier 31x16.5's tucked up in the wheel wells.

Those are some big tires you got under that car Kevin

Shubeks are expensive but seem to be the best option given the current lifter options.
Do you have a planned cam profile?

Hey Kev...been working nights and we're real busy. Try calling during the day, early morning is better.

We discussed the schubecs awhile ago and i believe it's the right choice for a number of reasons. I'm sure Dwayne can whip you up a nice blower grind to compliment the Bulldogs.

The dana is being built as we speak and as soon as it's shipped out, i'll be heading down to pick it up. It should be here in a couple of weeks but it's coming from Montana. Give me a ring in the next day or so.

hey Rob,that's why he sold those tires, last I talked to Kevin, his biggest challenge was getting more rubber under the car, needs traction! gotta' love it,hope you get the mill sorted out soon Kev. !!

Still workin on the rear end, also tore down the block finally, another broomstick for a cam, oil pump & 2 pistons done! [smilie=2:

Well, Eagle H-beam rods and Wiseco pistons on the way!
oh yeah Ron, Roller cam on the way, i ain't putting up with this solid cam crap anymore!!

Anyone need some LY rods with Milidon bolts?

Dang Kev.....that is some bad luck !! [smilie=e:

How bad are the cylinder walls....do they need a re-bore ? The new rods and slugs are worth it for this type of application, no doubt. Can't argue with the roller cam other than the added cost for hard parts associated with the swap. This flat tappet issue needs to be addressed....too many failures in the last couple of years....quality control sucks !!! [smilie=2:

I guess i was lucky with mine but the spring pressures aren't excessive with the stock e-head springs (340 open). Any grind requiring 400lbs open pressure will be getting schubecs on any motor of mine...guaranteed.

Sorry to hear about this buddy. Good luck with the rebuild....she'll be sweet when finished !

Ron
