heads up sandwich. party heading your way.

Greg sounds cool!,I think I'd like to be there in the '63 dodge, maybe a '62,what sanctioning body do you have to be a member of to race that series?....a little info on the classes and rules would be appreciated,do you have to be pre-registered? I think my neighbor Chevy Kevy Morrow,,placed 2nd or maybe even won $10k last year,,,everything on the websites is in point standings,,no e.t. classes or car type breakdowns,,where is that info ?

there are 2 classes.
1-super pro. they run tranny brakes & electronics
2- semi pro. foot brake only. any body car will do.

1/8th mile track only with a 9.99 to qualify. pre-regerstration is not necessary.

this will be my 1st time to travel with the tour. 2 of the races are at lusville which is an NHRA sanctioned track. the rules concerning car set up trends to turn their heads in the semi pro class. i've never seen a car go through tech inspection yet.

kevin morrow is a great racer. he put us on the trailer this year.

get your pencil goin Ron!........lol..........time to build a 470,we have about 6 months,,,I'm lookin; at a set of BBC carrillo 6.535 rods and a set of ross 1.47's,,'63 dodge chassis here collecting snow, with no title,,'66 B body axle sittin' here a rustin',I picked up that 3.91 "clutch style" s.g. unit we were talking about yesterday for a buck 50,,,,late style K frame down at deputy's,,let's break down that '71 400 block and send it over to Ernie, for mag test,I don't need no stinkin' street driver this summer,'specially when you have a pair of charger R/T's,,lol.I'll take the '70 440-6 pack one,,thanks,I knew you wouldn't mind,........................ok we'll just hook up the head lites on the '63,,,!!!!!!

Good luck with that one Chris [smilie=b:

What do you think I'll be driving this Spring. [smilie=e:
If we get the RR done in time, maybe I'll lend you ROn's car. LOL

yep,NB and elliot lake, luskville, has 2 of the five events,I love northern ont. in summer time, lived in the soo for a couple years,,god's country,it really is nice up there!!!.that charger is gonna' get some miles racked up on it this spring!.......lol......maybe we'll put a hitch on it to go up to northern ont. with the race car trailer, and keep the miles off his p/up truck!

Allright you jokers...that's enough !!! The 70r/t will NOT be pressed into tow duty, i have to draw the line somewhere [smilie=2:

That "show me the money" series sounds like a lot of fun....

Ron

OMG a trailer hitch on the back of ron's charger. thats just friggin hilarious. but it does bring back memories of the hitch on my brothers 69 383 rr & my 74 satelite.

the left rear framerail that is in my '69 RR was removed from a '69 coronet that I pulled out of a private boneyard,/6 /904 and 8 3/4 with a 3.55 clutch style s.g.,it took forever to grind the hitch from the rail,,they had welded it with about a 1/2" bead on both sides of the plate,,2-3 passes /side with an old arc welder,,,lol,,,,,,,anyhow Greg,it's official,I've decided to pull a '63 dodge B body out and build a car for off road only this year,,Carleton Place needs a mopar, too many chebby's runnin' around,,I have had Ron spec'ing the 451,and we pretty much have all the parts in stock 'cept pistons,I bought some slicks yesterday (29x10.0x15 screwed onto centerline drag wheels with tubes)I was wondering if your shop can re-arch and clamp my stock hemi spring's?........ if I dropped them off in the new year,,,I'll be pulling the chassis into the shop, for paint and some lightening up after the new year,,we started to strip it down last year(it's gutted and ready for frame connectors and torque boxes) to build it ,and I never got to it,so,instead of a street car this summer I want to build a wknd. warrior instead,I'll prolly drop off the block and crank to ernie finaterri after new years, and order pistons, and pull a tranny out of storage,,,,,

that's outstanding news & i'll be more than happy to re-work your springs. more mops at the track.

them ol' cragar slots are becoming made of unobtanium,I only have 2 sets left,14" and a 15",these were on my '69RR,the rears are 10" with 12.5" rubber(too wide for the '63,I'll be using the cragar 3.5" frontrunners I got from dodgechargerfan up front, this car is gonna' rock in limelite!!

I hear you re: the wheels. My wife's brother has a set of 4 Mickey Thompson aluminum slots in the perfect size/offset for my purpose....

I can't talk him out of them tho. [smilie=e:

Rob,yes, they will fit, they actually have a 4 3/4" backspace on the wide rears, they fit into a stock '69 RR rear wheelhouse ,,I ran them for years on '68/'69 RR's.....the 14" ones with 12.5" rubber.
