After 6 1/2 hours of labour my daughter gave birth to a8# 6 oz baby boy. Brennan keith came into the world at 12:46 am this morning 2 1/2 weeks early. ;) ;)

For Halloween we forgo the traditional candy for juice boxes. Both the kids and parents love them and they are as economical as candy but healthier. We have been doing this for many years. We just stock up during sales and what is left over either the grandkids or ourselves finish them.

Congrats! Anbd the idea of juice box's is a pretty good one. But how many kids to you get by your house? We usually get 200-300 kids! ;)

We usually get around 100. When you add up the cost of all the candy that you hand out and the cost of the juice boxes that you hand out, we found it was pretty comparable and we thought of the health aspect and the way the kids eyes lite up when getting the boxes because they are thirsty it is well worth any difference. Parents like them too and any leftovers are easily used by both us and the grandkids.

speaking as a parent anything i can use in their lunches are great, but in the school board in our area they have this healthy lunches thing so juiceboxes and fruit snacks and even those bags of chips are great ideas. We cant send chocolate /candy or pop in their lunches.

I left the chocolate bars in a bowl on my table for 6 months and i dont think my kids touched any of it. So we usually give that away to family and friends.
