Mike Manley, head of Jeep, said during the Detroit Auto Show (#NAIAS)that a Hellcat-equipped Jeep Grand CherokeeTrailhawk will appear late nextyear, confirming Allpar’s inside sources (seeNovember article). Allpar was also told that the Trackhawk had finally been approved, in both 392 and Hellcat form, in mid-December. A Trackhawk had been shown to dealers in August, and a trademark has been taken out. Allpar’s sources said not to expect 707 horsepower in the Jeep Grand Cherokee.
