Shit, If you want to see ugly, go look at the mess Jass and I are throwing together here.
Mines pretty damn ugly and I'm told it smells REALLY BAD!
Its been sitting in that barn for somewhere around 15 years. It had more mouse shit in it than I have ever seen in my life and I've seen a ton of mouse shit over the years. I evicted 5 dead mice on the initial clean up. Jass assures me it smells awful and isn't so sure the smell will ever be entirely gone. My wife and kids tell me they can smell it just by walking near it. I guess I'll take their word for it and just do what ever it takes to remove the smell. I'll just keep plugging away at it until someone tells me it finally has no odor or that it smells good.
Getting rid of a strong odor isn't easy, but it can be done. Years ago I did a 69 Eldo that had the front seat smolder to the metal frame with the windows up. Every bit of any non-metal has to come out. Then scrub the metal with ammonia & vinegar. After that re-paint all metal. The odor actually penetrates the metal. You need to seal the smell into the metal. The most difficult part is getting the odor out of the cowl vents. If you don't every time you turn on the heat or a vent the smell hits you. It helps the sprinkle some fragrant soap crystals down the cowl vents and get the wet.
I had a stinky finger for 3 days, no matter how much I scrubbed and washed it.
'Twas the last time I let that girl order anchovies on a pizza. I removed them with my fingers Yuck!
Dude! In your backyard, upon opening the door you jerked your whole upper body back and exclaimed "Oh my God!" You obviously got a non-faint snootful that time.I can but not like everyone else can. I know its bad though. The fact that I can faintly smell it...
Jester's comment reminded me of the "Stinkpalm" scene from Mallrats.![]()
