Gettin another truck

I have been looking for a truck to haul the RR to the track and today I stumbled upon a sweet old rig that I must have! [smilie=e:
It is a 77 Club Cab long box 4X2 and best of all it is Rust free! [smilie=b: [smilie=b: I crawled around in the snow under it and the only rust is a weak spot on the drivers floor near the gas pedal. It has been in a minor fender bender on the left front that should be a fairly easy fix but other than that this truck is super clean (did I mention no rust?) [smilie=c: .It also has a heavy duty reciever hitch and electric trailer brakes installed, perfect [smilie=:: . I just got off the phone with the owner and he bought it from it's original owner that had used it to pull a camper and obviously taken good care of it. About the only downfall is that is only has a 318 in but I have a good running 360 for it if the 318 is not up to the task. [smilie=w:
I hope to be picking it up Tuesday or Wednesday and will post pics once I get it home.

that's a good deal, you will find the 318 well up to the task,if not ,I would deepen the rear axle ratio with a 4.10,for towing,360's are gas guzzlers in trucks, all the old late 70's,military M888 3/4 ton trucks that I have ever owned had 318's with 4.10 dana's that were stump pullers,,,nice find,I'd like to find another truck like that in the spring,,,,

No gio, the RR will still see street use. [smilie=w:

He was asking $1500 for it XL and we settled at $1350, heck of a deal I think. It has 106,000 original miles and other than the banged up LF it looks nice. I'm betting it spent most of it's time stored indoors as the paint and interior are very nice. As clean as it is it either came from down south or was never drivin in winter. I was amazed to find one so nice locally and had to look at it twice to convince myself it was for real. :D

I will take a bunch of pics as soon as I get it home.
