I'm talkin a 2-year time frame here. I'll get a job in the summer, and work my little a$$ off until I have 10 grand on Dec. 18, 2007 (my 18th birthday) [smilie=b: . Now, can anyone give me some help? Some ideas are:

-340/360 A-body [smilie=e:
-383 B-body [smilie=e: Cordoba also for this one, it's my fav cupe of all time...
-383 OR 400 C-body [smilie=e:
-any F-J-M body (except for an Imperial) [smilie=e:
NO R-BODIES! they're too much like day-old coffee and stale bagels...useless [smilie=e:

If you're talkin' a "done" car then you are probally ok with most of those listed to 2-3 grand light on the a/b-bods. If you're lookin at "project" or driveable but "needs" work cars I think you can open your search a litttle.

whoa, jodaddy. Slow down. I don't really understand that, but I mean what's on that list there...I'm a bit confused. If I'm not mistaken, you're sayin 2-3 grand light. I don't really know what that means. I've looked at B-bods for a while, but they seem a bit pricey in some places (especially Road Runners, which is what I really want).

Why not get a Satellite and clone it if that's how you want to do it and on a budget? I would say go for the less-than-desirable models and build a nice sleeper out of it. $2k into a 5A or similar, $8k for drivetrain. You could build a nice machine with that.

I see you have a mirada, mopar_man. Can I have it? Please? By the way, I have no knowldege in doing mods whatsoever unless it's really common sense and/or my friend (mustang owner with a Chiwhawa) can help me out. Still, I do like Satellites, but Beep-Beeps are my forte (there's one one ebay for 7K, all original, 383, needs a clutch and that's it). Also, is there a place I can get one of those BeepBeep horns? I thought I saw an advertisement in Hemmings for a place that did 'em.

Don't believe in any original roadrunner for 7k that only needs a clutch. If it's too good to be true, it probably is.

Year one sells beep-beep horns. The one on my D-50 sounds just like one, and could probably be found in a JY.

Sure as long as you come pick it up with cash in hand :D Modification isn't hard if you're talking about converting Satellite to Roadrunner. It's basically just visual stuff that's not hard to change.

If you're talkin' a "done" car--DONE AKA--- complete, finished, needs nothing, ready to go etc....... then you are probally ok with most of those listed to 2-3 grand light---LIGHT (as in too little $$$, you'll need more, work harder, more jobs) on the a/b-bods. If you're lookin at "project" or driveable but "needs---- (as in you gotta finish this) work cars I think you can open your search a litttle.

Not being a smartass but a project car can be had for 1-5K
Finished cars (depending on body and seller) 10-100K

No such thing as a 7k original...:D IMO...unless it needs lottsa work. ;)
I don't think you can buy a nice hot rodded A body for that Joe....not my kinda nice anyway!
But...the point is well taken...you will be able to buy something cool for it. I know this guy BBB who has a cool 67 Dart he might be convinced to part with. :D

I'm checking ebay right now...some stuff is cheap for a 383 B-Bod, but not much. [smilie=b:

Slow down. No hot rod wanted here, just a regular car...no mods. Factory stock...

Factory. Bah. :(
Seriously, a good B bod is gonna be pricey. Yah don't wanna buy someone elses headache.
A Cordoba or Mirada is a cheap reliable car though, unless MM has touched it..... [smilie=p: [smilie=b:

Factory Stock???? As in "restored stock"?? If thats your ticket better get a better job.
A bod start at 12k for "nice"
B Bod start at 18K for same
Big block of either stock add 3-5K
Matching numbers cars well..................dig real deep.

Once again project is cheaper but more work.
MM has the idea with a "clone" or modified car.

I'm thinkin sleeper with a good motor (see above), but if it has a clone block, its ok. Still, if it's a driver, I'll take. What about C-bods? No one has mentioned them, and tehy seem to be pretty damn cheap to me.

C bods are cheap, and the right one drools cool....I am personally more fond of early Imperials...the ultimate in cool cruiser, IMO. But, they are pretty piggy and big.

Those babys can be had on the cheap. [smilie=w: Nuttin like a C-body IMHO for casual cruisin dutys. They are often overlooked and nice examples can be found for way less $$$ than the A or B bodys.
Search for the '72 and older model years...most anything that year and older certainly qualifys as cool in my book. [smilie=c:

What, you don't already have a hole you would like to stick that in? [smilie=e: [smilie=a:
