Finally !!!

68R/T

I got drunk and swallowed my teeth, now
After dealing with building inspector, late winter, ground frost that lasted forever and then spring showers, the excavating and filling for my new garages has finally begun.

This is what had already been done by 12:30 pm today;

They had already scraped off the sod & topsoil and started the fill;

Before removing sod & topsoil the area was about 2 feet below the level I wanted;

By 5 pm they had brought in over 900 yds of fill to bring it up to where I want it.
One garage will be in the leveled off area seen here;

And the other garage will be to the left of the drive. It's a little hard to see from this angle;

Each garage will be 1000 sq. ft. with 2 overhead doors plus an entry door 36" wide, Wide enough to run motorcycles through. And the garage spaces are 6' apart so I don't do any nasty door dings. :naughty:

Fill is complete and gravel laid. If you can make out the stakes, that's the outer corners of one of the garages;

Same here, look for the stakes;

Now I need to get ahold of the builder. And the electrician to upgrade my service in the house to 200 amps. For some reason nobodies answering my calls. :mad:

Probably because you've been cranky while you were laid up. :D

Very nice to have that option. My lot is already consumed by building footage; the only option would be to go skyward. I thought about raising the roof in my garage a little, but I really can't justify the cost of that and a hoist.
