Finally Home...

yeah swap the scoops side to side..but im 95% positive they arnt even mopar...the cuda scoops have a "fang" and alot more attitude with less "slope" front to rear...im ot sure what they are from but i have seen them before

I didn't actually look at a pic, but my original thought that they weren't 'Cuda appears to be correct.

Side to side?! The only people that ever did something like that with scoops didn't get their Mom to help install the cheesy stick-on Lund scoops they bought at Wal-Mart. I'd be more interested to see them swapped front-to-rear, not that I expect that's how they were originally installed.

buick gp sounds about right to me...i was actualy initialy thinking they sure look pontiac TA style but they dont have enuf hump...altho the shape is right...im going to say WAY late 80s onto the early 00 and most definatly GM

Well, I stopped looking because it's obvious they're not Mopar, and they look awful on the car. I suspect they may be late-model Pontiac, but it doesn't matter. They're scrap.

Pontiac hasn't made a cool hood scoop since the '79 Z-code Shaker (meaning the engine was a Pontiac 400 with a 4-speed). Prior to that, it was the '76 Formula, as the '77-up Formula hoods looked like King Kong stepped on them. much like the "6.6 Litre" Trans Am Shakers (all 403 Olds, all automatic) which rode too low and looked like ass compared to the "T/A 6.6" cars. The scoop on the Olds-motored cars barely clears the hood... and yes, it's a different scoop than the 400 Poncho cars.

Uh, Buick never built a Grand Prix, my friend, and the cars you pictured used 'glass hoods with "fangs" much like the 'Cuda hood.

I bet the gas tank in your car is from a '74 charger. They had a "hump" in the floor to clear the gas tank!

I'm thinkin the scoopps are front drive G.M. Pontiac perhaps?

It's ALIVE!!!

Sounds pretty good too! Guess I need to change the oil and tune her up. I oughta fix the brakes while I'm at it, stopping is better than going sometimes :D
