I FINALLY brought my car home today, she's safely nestled in the garage! I will get some more pics tomorrow, we had my parents over for dinner tonight and I was forbade to go into the garage :D I do have one pic taken after we loaded her up...

I did some digging after everyone left, I found a few things;
#1 MOST of the necessary parts are included
#2 I'm glad the idiot that disassembled the car didn't get to proceed with his ideas, there is a huge hole in the middle of the trunk with a gas tank out of who-knows-what poking through, a back seat out of a Taurus maybe? Fold down serious crap work... and
#3 I'm glad I saved a few parts and all the bolts from the '72 I parted... I'll just be taking many pics of complete cars to put it all back together the right way.

DCF, you axed about the wheels, I have all 4, with rings and caps. PM me :shifty:

BTW some idiot painted it red over the A4[smilie=l: what a dumbass! How could someone cover the prettiest color ever laid on a '71 Charger!?!?!? :D

He's got this out back too... 225, at least that's whats on the breather. Deck lid and hood are trashed, grille is on the back seat but otherwise mostly intact...

My 'Bee had been half-painted dark forest green before they had to send it back through to get it right. It was halfway up the A-pillars, and the whole engine bay was that color underneath the coded A4.

QC was on the ball in '71!!! Guess this smoking weed/drinking on break isn't a new thing for Chry/Co employees ehh?

Uh, no. Ever seen the pics of my untouched-original 340 when I took it apart? Third engine I'd disassembled with cigarette butts in it. Also, some genious forgot to install the windage tray standard on all 340s. I wasn't even surprised to find the butts, to be honest.

The stuff he has in the garage is even better;

1970 Challenger R/T 496 stroker-600hp
1967 Coronet R/T 440/auto
1969 Charger 383/auto
1969 Fury III 2dr 318
1980 D350 Wrecker 360/4spd ready to work
1965 Coronet Hemi super stock clone work in progress
1966 Coronet 500 vert
1971 Demon now 340/4spd
1973 Roadrunner 340/auto
1968 Dart GTS 383/auto in pieces

Most of these cars are running/driving cars! The guy is gotta be in his late 60's, he's gotta stack of 440's in the corner and shelves and shelves of parts... the Demon and the Runner are his son's cars so this collection isn't leaving the family anytime soon.

He sold the '71 because they don't like that style...

No. I am currently pulling the money together to buy a rust free '65 valiant. It's a /6 3 speed car with no drive train. I have known about the car for years and the guy who has it offered it to me when I didn't have much extra cash. He said "No problem. It was my sons. (he passed away) I like the way you take care of your charger and as far as I'm consered it's yours. Take as long as you need and come see me when you can aford it! I have offered him down payments and he always says "No, It's not going anywhere. Just come see me when you can swing it" It's stored in the back of his poll building where it's been sence his boy passed around 20 years ago.
