Finally back home...

from the Wisconsin job, been four months and it's good to be home, I'll be about a lot more often. The site looks GOOD.

Now that I have a tow vehicle, I'll be trailer (enclosed) shopping in January. Anybody got some good suggestions for south FL dealers?

While I'm racing the car this winter, I'll be stockpiling parts for the street/strip conversion. I'm not detuning the 451, but I'm going with a locker and 4.56's to replace the 4.88's and spool. I'm keeping the super tricks for the race rubber and going with torq thrust d's and some drag radials. The 2-1/8" hooker super comps are coming off (anybody who wants these, let me know) and dougs 2" fenderwell headers with a 3-4" muffler system is going on. I'll be unloading the Dvorak eddy heads if anyone is interested.

The tunnel ram and 750 afb's will stay while I race the car this winter. I'm getting an alloy RB block (probably a KB) and probably some indy heads with a cross ram. I'll be using some of fugly's 800's on this build. It will CID around 540 cubes, with around 11-11.5 CR with a good solid roller. I'll reuse my jesel and remote water pump system. Car should still be able to click off 10-10.5 times with the streetification. :bravo:

I'm glad that I kept the bench seat in the car, I'm adding another set of harnesses so the wife and grandad can ride along sometimes. When the grandkids get here, I'll take them for a ride too. I have swingout bars on both sides, so getting in and out of the car will be easy for the old folks. I'll be adding a halo to the 8-point also.

The gold leaf MAXIMVS race graphics are coming off (this pains me greatly, but I want to street the car for some events). I'm having some smaller quarter panel decals with the same motif made up. I haven't decided if I'm painting the car yet. The glass hood will come off for rework, I busted it up pretty bad at Bradenton a few years ago. Or I may just go back with a steel hood and glass max wedge scoop. The car will be getting steel bumpers, the deck lid will stay glass.

I'm having some big posters of the car made before I take the gold leaf off, so I and others who come after me will have the resources to take it back to its race days, if I feel like it later.

If I have the time, I plan on making the Jim Sellers memorial race at Cecil in May. I also plan on hitting some NSS races in the FL panhandle and maybe Texas this next year, but may have to wait till the year after that, depending on my progress with the car.

MAXIMVS rides again: http://www.63savoy.com/MOV01065.MPG , for you guys with a quicktime viewer: http://users.adelphia.net/~63savoy/Mopar.mp4

Good to be back.

I was at the Kewaunee nuke plant. I had weekends off with nothing to do, I wish I knew someone up there. Oh well, we'll have to meet up when I go up there periodically. Rav, when I get them made up, I'll let you know and keep one for you.

Kewaunee.....162 miles to me & 200 to Beeper and about 140 to Doc & Stretchy. :hmmm:

Snook. Glad to see that '63. I think the rig should be into the 9's with your planned upgrades.
Wish I could have located a t-ram for my combo. Love the looks............ and the power's a nice touch too. :shifty:

Snook, can you pm me and tell me what has been done to them and flow numbers etc? Along with an asking $? RobR and i are keeping an eye open for some for my beastie. :D

Dude, I've sent all that I remember to Rob, I want to say 326 int and 244 ex, but I need to find the spec sheets on those bad boys. Dan Dvorak did good on these dudes.
