FCA US has been selling more cars at retail in the United States but fewer in Canada, according to Richard Palmer during a presentation today.
The Canadianretail sales drop was likely due to a shortage of the low-margin Dodge Caravan minivans, which are best sellers in the nation which builds them.Sales in both countries were up overall and the former Chrysler Canada is currently the #1 automaker in Canada, partly because Ford has been seeing falling sales.
FCA USis clearly still heavily dominated by the United States, with relatively little sales elsewhere. Canadian sales along dwarf all other countries outside North America.
Regarding brands, Jeep is the largest in both volume and growth, while Dodge is still feeling the loss of the Avenger. (...) →
