FCA found its reporting problems

In July 2015, NHTSA told Fiat Chrysler’s American arm, FCA US, that it had been under-reporting incidents to the agency.An internal FCA investigation has now found reporting problems, though specifically what was wrong — human error, processes, computer system failures, miscoding, etc —was not released by FCA.
The company did say in a press release that it was “committed to a thorough investigation, to be followed by complete remediation” and “takes this issue extremely seriously, and will continue to cooperate with NHTSA to resolve this matter and ensure these issues do not re-occur.” (...) →
